Google Fi has a birthday today (it turns 3) and it’s celebrating with a massive discount on the Pixel phones – 50% off. Note that this promo is valid only for today (April 22) and only if you activate the phone on Google Fi (which, unfortunately, means this is a US-only promo).
The Pixel 3 is $400 up front or $16.63 a month for 24 months. You can also trade in an old phone for a few bucks off (though you can only bring the price down to $364). This is for the 64GB version, if you want 128GB then it’s $450 or $18.71/mo.
The Pixel 3 XL starts at $450 or $18.71/mo for the 64GB version and goes up to $500 or $20.79/mo for the 128GB model (in both cases this is for 24 months)

Long story short, you can be a new or existing customer and you need to activate the phone on the Google Fi account you bought it from (or one of the members of your group plan). The activation needs to happen within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email, otherwise your Google Payments account will be charged the full price.
